Re: Fuel Lines at Tank AN fitting

Finding these kinds of adapters took me a long time but I've tended to gravitate to Racetronix (https://www.racetronix.biz/c/hose-fittings-adapters-accessories/adapters-bulkheads-and-more/c319, no affiliation) for a good selection of adapters in one place.

Speedflow also has a nice selection of ...

Re: AC compressor mounting bolts

It looks like you're already on top of the only thing I really remember from refurbishment work I did in that area, years ago, and that's that the bolts are fine thread, and not normal. I'm pretty sure my car had the original unit and hardware.

Not sure at all why they didn't use a standard thread ...

Cable Junction Frame

For the part near the ABS module.

I've been working on an updated part, to accommodate some of the harnesses I made last winter, where the ring terminals I could find that would fit a slightly upsized wire, wouldn't fit in the OEM part. I filed down some of the ring terminals but it looks sort of ...

Re: Door Card Repair Suggestions

@PSU_Crash : Those look like the right clips, from what I can see in PET, but you may want to have a look here for parts - https://www.fcpeuro.com/Porsche-parts/9 ... 0867%20299

Re: High Torque Starter Motor?

I don't know if it still matters but if you talk to IMI, they offer a couple of different clockings for the 928, since folks were also worried about it hanging low on those cars, as well. Through trusted friends and Porsche people, my impression is that the IMI folks are good about understanding and ...

Re: Door Card Repair Suggestions

Since I missed part of your question, for the vinyl, 928 folks generally recommend the red Weldwood, or HH-66, to reattach it to the door card. Same with carpet, if you find some of that, that needs to be re-adhered. I've typically found that the vinyl comes up pretty easily so you can redo ...

Re: Door Card Repair Suggestions

I'm doing some of this work right now so I feel like I can contribute.

For general reinforcement and future-proofing I'm a big fan of the Bondo fiberglass resin. It's cheap and you can find it most anywhere. I have friends who really like the West Marine 2 part resin/epoxy but those are ...

Re: AI for Circuit Translation/Interpretation Help

With no sarcasm whatsoever, I would love someone that actually understands EE dissect what came out of the AI about those circuits. And because I think that AI for these kinds of things is a bunch of hoopla (but confident sounding hoopla), I would love some further validation that it is unreliable ...

AI for Circuit Translation/Interpretation Help

I posted this over on RL, as well, but thought it might be of interest to folks here as well.

A friend of mine let me know that he's been using AI for circuit translation and having good success. I'm not good enough to determine if there is wrong information being returned, since the devil is in ...

Re: I think I'm in love...

I don't know how deep you want to go but I'd bet some company like Augment could make some of these with the right bolt pattern and offsets. It's custom $$, though.

If I had money to throw around for things like that I'd be ordering some AMG monoblocks for my 928.

That said, Augment does offer 17 ...
