Shell, paint, suspension, interior, engine, gearbox, wheels, wiring, big power output. 2 of those owners took a beating when they wanted to sell. The 3rd that has probably had the most spent on it, still isn't finished. Want to make a small fortune building a 944 turbo, start with a big fortune.
If you are getting a 944 turbo to make money…..that’s your first mistake!
In addition to your small fortunes comment - the best way to become broke is to buy a cheap 944!!
Almost sounds like you are somehow disappointed in the way things go with 944s. decades ago my track friends pointed out I could have had a 911 cup car for what I spent in the 944 turbo. They were correct….but I would still rather have MY 944 turbo. 944 turbos are not economical and that’s fine…. unless you were thinking you would make money on one.
First rule of 944 club – do not add up the receipts!

There is a guy in Massachusetts (Jose Cacaro) that has a side business rebuilding hatches. He charges around $1,500 for it, and they come out better than original. He uses modern day, industrial strength adhesives, repaints the aluminum frames, etc. The problem is, you have to get your hatch to/from his location (near Boston). He runs the "East Coast Porsche 944 Turbo" Facebook group.
I am in the area so let me know if I can help with this part of the project. I am extremely picky about details so I will let you know if his work will meet the level of detail you expect.

@NCGermerican - please list his contact as I have a hatch I may have him do.
I've seen his work on Facebook. Someone needs to get him over here on Carpokes. :) One the other hand, how about a shooting brake for the rear? :P
I’ve heard a lot about this F a c e book market. Probably should get an account on the line thingy.

Ha ha, I bought the best dry weather used turbo I could find over 15 years ago. And I've only put 20k dry miles on it since, you do the math.
